Next Book Club: Thurs. Nov. 7 @ 7pm

Our next Book Club will meet Thursday, November 7 at 7 pm in a room still to be determined at SSEFC. We will discuss the novel, The Reunion by Dan Walsh. We will be Skyping with Pastor Dan, the author, so come prepared with questions.

Always feel free to invite others to meet with us for fellowship and to check the club out. And please join us even if you haven't read the book. Upcoming Book Selections and Meeting Dates TBD:

January: The Snowflake by Jamie Carie - cost is $4.00 for a small hardcover. Plan on another book exchange at this meeting and a meeting in early January.
February: The Next Target by Nikki Arana. $7.50. Two copies will be in the church library. Dakota County library does not have any copies, but both Hennepin and Ramsey have 3 copies. Discussion will happen in late February. A suspense story about what a Muslim woman faces if she becomes a Christian.

April: Journey to the Well by Diana Wallis Taylor - $5. Biblical fiction book about the Samaritan woman, a good book for the Easter season.

May: Me, Myself and Bob by Phil Vischer - $6.00. Autobiography.

June: It Happened at the Fair by Deeanne Gist - $5.00. This is not your typical Deeanne Gist novel- not much romance- but a good historical fiction read. Our first summer read, historical fiction taking place during the World's Fair.

Join a Bible Study!

The Tuesday morning ladies' Bible Study will begin September 17 from 9:30 to 11 am with a kick-off brunch in the Journey Room at SSEFC. All are welcome! Bible Study will meet every Tuesday from 9:30 to 11 am in the Journey Room and for Session 1, we will cover the book, Relying on the Holy Spirit by Charles Stanley (see book overview below). Session 1 will go until November 26 with Session 2 resuming in January through April (Session 2 study to be determined). Childcare is available at no cost for children birth to K. Women’s Evening Bible Study begins Monday, September 16! Please join us as we meet the 1st and 3rd Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:15 PM in Room 255 at SSEFC. This Bible Study will run to April 7, 2014. We will cover the Book of Philippians in the guide, Experiencing God's Peace by Elizabeth George (see book overview below). Registration is available online or there will be a table set up on Sunday mornings at SSEFC, September 8 and 15 for women to register. The cost of the book is $8. No childcare available.
