Can you provide a meal?

SSEFC Women’s Ministries has a new approach in place to serve families in our church that are in need of assistance with meals. The new method is a web-based system provided at mealtrain.com. A need has developed for a family in our church, so please click here if you are interested in picking a day to prepare and deliver a meal. This link will take you to the site where you can create an account and log in. The site is easy to navigate and once you are logged in, you will clearly see the dates available to bring a meal and any important info/instructions listed on the right side. Thank you for considering to serve our church family in this way. Please feel free to forward this request to others by clicking on the "white envelope" below.

If you would like to be contacted when other needs arise, please email Pat Bennett at meals@ssefc.org. If you know of a need, please contact either the church office or Pat Bennett directly to get the communication started. Thank you!

Next Book Club: Thursday, Feb. 17 @ 7 pm

Why book club? The books? I enjoy reading without a book club. New authors? I can always browse the library shelves to get new ideas. The people? That’s it! The laughter, the friendships, the sharing – that is why I go to book club!

You are invited to join us any time. The next book club meeting is Thursday, February 17, 7 pm at Ring Mountain Café in Eagan. We will be discussing Embrace Me by Lisa Samson. This edgy, thought provoking story is about forgiveness. An interesting assortment of characters should lead to a great discussion.

Other upcoming dates are March 31 when we will discuss All the Tea in China by Jane Orcutt and May 12 when we talk about our Easter selection Three Days by Melody Carlson. Copies of all book club selections are available in the church library. Hope to see you at book club and friends are always welcome too!

A BIG Christmas Thank You!

THANK YOU! There was such an outpouring of love demonstrated at SSEFC's recent Women's Christmas Social for the women of Dakota Woodlands! Because of your generosity we filled 100 gift bags which included a Bible and other goodies. AND we were able to purchase $250 worth of gas gift cards to give as well. Please continue to pray for these precious women and for other opportunities to be a blessing to others in our community.

Book Club Meeting Thursday, Jan. 6 @ 7 pm!

The SSEFC Women's Book Club is meeting this Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 7 pm at Ring Mountain Cafe. We will be discussing The Unfinished Gift by Dan Walsh. Come for a great time of discussion, laughs and fellowship and to check out what our Book Club is like. Bring a friend!

An additional book club meeting will take place on Thursday, January 27 at 7 pm at Ring Mountain to discuss a missions book. Hopefully, some of the missionaries that will be visiting SSEFC during missions week will be able to come to our meeting. We will discuss My Hands Came Away Red by Lisa McKay and also share other mission/missionary books that we have read. Start thinking about books you have enjoyed and come share a synopsis with the group. This includes fiction and non-fiction, biographies, historical, etc. Please contact Sharon Moore with questions and/or if you would like to purchase a copy of My Hands Came Away Red for $3.00.
