Thank You for Serving at Jubilee!





What a wonderful day at Jubilee! Thank you, SSEFC, for stepping up and being the second most represented church with volunteers at Jubilee--approximately 100 of you planned for months and showed up that day to give of your time and love. Below are some of the stats from the day. Remember the people and families touched by the event in your prayers and consider serving again (or for the first time) next September. Thanks for being a blessing to others...To God Be the Glory!

1815 total attendees
23+ churches participated
490 volunteers (approximately 100 volunteers from SSEFC)
1700 bags of groceries given away
140+ photo portraits taken
60+ vision screenings
60+ hair cuts given
Prayer and counseling offered to many
22 commitments made to Jesus Christ!

Urgent Jubilee Needs

ATTENTION CHURCHES:
Can you help us with the following urgent requests:
Financial Needs:
Meeting Jubilee’s financial budget? We are about $5,000 short of our goal. (See website for donation information.)

Prayer Needs:
Praying at the prayer walk at the Apple Valley Water Park this Saturday, September 10th at 9am? There will also be a time of prayer at 7pm on the Friday before the event.

Volunteer Needs:
To volunteer, go to the Jubilee website (www.jubileemn.org), then to “login” located at the bottom of the left-hand column. Use “volunteer” as the User Name, then “jubilee” as the password. On the left-hand column, you now have the option to choose“Sign up!” Choose the area of interest. The next screen will then show you a list of volunteer positions.

The next Book Club gathering is on Thursday, October 20, 7 pm at Ring Mountain Café in Eagan. We will discuss our mystery novel Under the Cajun Moon by Mindy Starns Clark. Please let Sharon Moore know if you are willing to facilitate a book discussion–it would be great to have a variety of leaders! Moody Publishers is giving away free ebook copies of Pearl in the Sand for anyone that “Likes” their Facebook page now through November 1. Below is a list of our upcoming meeting dates and books. A few friends are meeting at Wendy's fast food in Apple Valley off of Cedar on Friday, September 9 at 11:45 am for lunch. Moms In Touch Prayer Groups Meeting

School is underway now and there are many Moms In Touch groups that are up and running in the surrounding south-metro area. Visit http://www.momsintouch.org/ for more information about this wonderful organization that gathers moms together to pray for their kids and their schools. Moms In Touch is used by God to have a huge impact in our community for Christ!

There is a list on all three Women's Ministry bulletin boards at SSEFC of current MIT groups that are meeting in the surrounding area. Please check it out and attend a prayer meeting. To find out if your child's school has an active MIT group, you can visit http://www.momsintouch.org/ or call your school directly and the secretary may know.

    For many of us it was back-to-school-day today. Please mark your calendars now to make sure your students (and even parents) meet at your school's flag pool for See You At The Pole 2011 the morning of Wednesday, September 28 to pray for our schools, our friends, our teachers, our cities and our nation.     Next Book Club: Thurs. Sept. 8 @ 7pm



    Lisa Wingate recently did a video interview and talked a bit about Tending Roses and her new book Dandelion Summer. (If you are just reading this post in your email, you may need to visit the blog site to actually see the video. Click here to view).

    The next Book Club gathering is Thursday, September 8, 7 pm at Ring Mountain Café. We will discuss the novel, Tending Roses by Lisa Wingate. As you read, did it remind you of any tidbits of wisdom your grandmother passed along to you? Lisa Wingate sent bookmarks for us, along with Dandelion Summer promo cards. A collection of other Wingate books (her Blue Sky Hill series) will be at our gathering for you to take a look at as well.
