Look What's New with Jubilee!!!

Jubilee has a new look! We have a new logo and a new website! The website is still under some slight edits but it's almost to the finish line! Please check it out: http://www.jubileemn.org/

Are you new to Jubilee and what this wonderful event is? Jubilee is a one-day celebration honoring members in our community who are in need with a day filled with fun, hope and encouragement. Through donations from churches, individuals, corporations and other organizations, Jubilee offers the blessings of food, merchandise and services all in a fun, festive atmosphere. It’s all done in the name of Jesus and it’s all FREE!

The Next 8th Annual Jubilee will be held: Saturday, September 18 from 10 am - 3 pm at the Apple Valley Water Park parking lot. Visit the website for a cool promotional video that offers a fantastic look at what Jubilee is all about.

Will you serve? Jubilee takes many hands to serve and encourage those in need in our community. It is a phenomenal outreach opportunity. It's a chance to demonstrate God's heart for people...To live out our appreciation for the mercy we have so freely received from Christ and to freely give (Matthew 10:8). Jubilee is a crucial demonstration of churches coming together to be the CHURCH. We can do so much more together than we could ever accomplish on our own. Jubilee simply demonstrates God's love and His desire for UNITY. Please pray and get involved. There are many areas for service and leadership that need filling. Contact Susan at spholmen@comcast.net if you are interested and want to know areas that need you.

The Next Jubilee Planning Meeting is set for Tuesday, July 13 at 7 pm in the Journey Room at SSEFC. Please join us!

P.S. We are collecting bottles of laundry detergent and paper grocery bags for Jubilee. Look for collection boxes in the foyer areas at SSEFC.

Register for VBS and Get a FREE VBS Music CD!

A VBS registration table will be in the foyer area at SSEFC this Sunday, July 11. Please come and register kids after the church service if you haven't already. You can also register online or by filling out a form. Forms are available at the Welcome Desk and the VBS table for you to fill out and/or take as invites. All families that have registered already or that register on the 11th will receive a FREE VBS Music CD. So stop by and register and then start listening to and learning the songs even before VBS! Cool! Thanks for registering....and don't forget to be a Hometown Hero and bring at least one child per family that needs to hear the gospel message. VBS is ALL about OUTREACH!

Hero HeadQuarters VBS is July 26-30 from 6:00 to 8:30 PM. It's FREE!

Go Door-to-Door for VBS this Sunday the 11th!

Attention Ladies! Since most of us tend to be the keepers of the family calendars, here's a great service opportunity that you can do as a family: Please come and hit the streets with other Hometown Heroes this coming Sunday, July 11. We will walk door-to-door in our SSEFC surrounding neighborhoods and invite our neighbors to Hero Headquarters Vacation Bible School. We will meet in the quad area by the East entrance at 1:30 pm to pray and receive the VBS invitations then go out to distribute them in teams. We will return for ice cream sundaes at 3:30 pm. Yum!

Maybe you can't help out with VBS this year? Going door-to-door this Sunday the 11th is a great way to still be involved and help out. Maybe you don't have children going into grades 1-6....or grandchildren or nieces and nephews.....? Please consider taking some fliers from the VBS table in the foyer and inviting kids in your neighborhoods. And, go door-to-foor with us this Sunday!

Another way to help is to PRAY. Pray for fun, safety and learning. Pray for lives to be changed as the result of the great truths kids will learn. Please pray that many families embrace the VBS Challenge and invite at least one child who needs to hear about Jesus. Your prayers are so appreciated!

Reminder: Dates for HHQ VBS are July 26-30, 6-8:30 PM. Contact Jeff Larson or Stephanie Buckland with questions.
