Help Out "Bundles of Love"

Here's another opportunity to love the world around us. Bundles of Love, a local organization that provides bundles of clothing and bedding for newborn babies whose mother’s have no other means of support is in need of cards of encouragement to go with the bundles. Cards and materials are already made and gathered. We just need to assemble to bundles. Let's meet together Saturday, February 2 from 10 am to Noon in the Fellowship Hall at SSEFC to serve the LORD by serving others. Hope to see you there!

Make Cards for "Bundles of Love"

Here's another opportunity to love the world around us. Make cards for Bundles of Love, a local organization that provides clothing and bedding for newborn babies whose mother’s have no other means of support. They are in need of cards to include with their bundles as a way of providing encouragement to new mothers. Let’s get together to make and assemble cards for this ministry on Saturday, February 2 from 10 am to Noon in the Fellowship Hall at SSEFC.

Save the dates!

In the middle of winter, it's so nice to think about...SUMMER!! Vacation Bible School 2013 is coming to SSEFC. Save the dates for this fantastic OUTREACH opportunity: Sunday, August 4 through Thursday, August 8! VBS will be in the evening from 6:30-8:30 PM for children Pre-K (age 3 before 9.1.13) through going into grade 6. The theme will be SonWest Roundup! Get a preview here of the rip-roarin' good time the kids will have learning and singing about Jesus! SonWest VBS needs YOU! So please begin praying about how God will use this outreach in our community and how you might be a part of it. Dust off that cowboy hat and those boots and get ready to ride at SonWest Roundup!

New Women's Bible Study for 2013!

Just like exercise works better with with the motivation and encouragement from friends, so does the study of God's Word. Start 2013 off right by getting involved in a Women's Bible Study at SSEFC. Beginning January 15 at 9:30 am to 11 am in the Journey Room a new Session for the Tuesday morning Bible Study will begin! Join us as we dive into the lives of Twelve Extraordinary Women: How God Shaped Women of the Bible and What He Wants to Do with You. Each chapter is a brief, yet enlightening, character sketch of the twelve featured biblical woman: Eve, Sarah, Rahab, Ruth, Hannah, Mary, Anna, The Samaritan Woman, Martha and Mary, Mary Magdalene and Lydia. The book has an accompanying workbook that features Insightful Questions for In-Depth Study, places to Journal and Guided Prayers. These powerful stories about these women from the Bible will point you to the Savior, Jesus.

The cost of the study is $25 which includes the book and workbook. Childcare is available at no cost for children birth through K. Contact Stephanie at stephaniejbuckland@gmail.com with questions. Register online here or just come to the study.

The evening Bible Study that meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays from 6:30 to 8:15 pm continues January 2013 to April. Join us anytime as we continue our study of the Book of James from Growing in Wisdom & Faith by Elizabeth George. This study meets in room E255 at SSEFC.
