The Women's Spring Brunch was a beautiful and delicious success! Thank you to everyone who came and brought guests...Out of the 125 women who came, 52 were guests - that's 42 %! Everything was beautifully decorated in pink and brown and the food was wonderful! We especially loved the sweet assortment of husbands and sons that served us! Thank you to the many hands that made the brunch a great outreach event. Vicki Tiedi, our speaker, creatively shared the similarities between a box of assorted chocolates and the savory selections of friendships in our lives. We learned the Lord brings people into our path for the specific purpose of helping one another along in our journeys. Vicki also clearly shared our need for the greatest, truest Friend of all - Jesus. Enjoy the photos and be sure to visit our events photo gallery for more...

April 19 - Last Sunday to Buy Brunch Tickets!
This Sunday the 19th is the last opportunity to buy tickets for the Women's Spring Brunch. The brunch will be held on Saturday, April 25th at 10 am at SSEFC. This is a great event to bring a friend, coworker, neighbor, family member,....who needs to hear the gospel message. With humor and wit, Vicki Tiede will be sharing a wonderful message of friendship and Christ's love. Please pray for this event as it is quickly approaching and be sure to invite someone to come with you. Tickets are $12 for SSEFC attendees and $10 for guests. The food will be ordered in advance, so if you want a meal at the event you must purchase your tickets by the 19th. You will be served a delicious egg bake with fruit and, of course, chocolate! Look for a beautiful pink decorated registration table in the church foyer area after each service on the 19th. We look forward to seeing you at the brunch!

An Attitude of Gratitude
If you heard Pastor Coe's sermon last Sunday (4/5), than you might know about "the homework assignment" he gave out. Over this week, we were encouraged to keep a gratitude journal. Wouldn't it be nice to share some of our gratitudes with each other? A blog is a great place to share ideas so let's use this creative "lady space" to express some of these things that we are grateful for. Here's how:
Click on "Comments" below this post and follow the directions to create a comment and then go ahead and share something that you are grateful to the Lord for. Perhaps you have a brief story, Scripture or quote to share. We would all love to hear from you. Feel free to comment on another comment and so on. Let's be creative, let's share and let's interact on this "assignment" together.
Below are a couple quotes from Linda Dillow's book, Calm My Anxious Heart: A Woman's Guide to Finding Contentment, that the ladies from the Tuesday morning Bible study are going through. Maybe these will offer inspiration...Thanks for participating!
"Two women looked through prison bars. One saw mud, the other saw stars...Each of us has a choice about how we look at life: We can focus on the mud or lift our eyes and see the stars. Every woman has circumstances that appear to be prison bars. God wants you and me to learn to be content in our circumstances now, not just when they improve." (29)
"If we are to find contentment in the midst of trial and uncertainty, we must accept our situation as being purposely allowed unto our lives by a personal and loving God." (173)
