SSEFC Women's Ministries is excited to use this blog as an additional way to communicate. The purpose of this blog (as stated above in the title) is to share photos and details from past events and to highlight what's ahead. Sharing this site with your friends is a great way for them to actually see what we are up to and to encourage them to join in on the fun.

Flip Flop Fleet a Success!

SSEFC has collected a total of 342 pairs for shoes for children living in Haiti! We exceeded our goal of 300!! Thank you for your joyous and eager participation in this service project. May those receiving these shoes be blessed and may Jesus be glorified.

Women's Bible Study Opportunities

The Tuesday morning women's Bible study will be starting a new session January 6th. You are invited! Join us as we go through Calm My Anxious Heart by Linda Dillow. This study meets Tuesday mornings from 9:20 to 11 am at SSEFC. It's a wonderful time of worship, food, fellowship and Biblical study. Childcare is available.

The Monday evening women's Bible study will continue going through the book Women of the Bible. This study meets every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month from 6:30 to 8:15 pm at SSEFC. No childcare is available. Anyone is welcome to join this study at anytime!

Both studies run through April 2009. Please see the SSEFC website for more info on either of these studies and/or to register.

SSEFC is part of the Flip Flop Fleet!

The Tuesday morning ladies Bible Study decided to participate in a service project. We got involved with the Flip Flop Fleet ministry which seeks to provide shoes for children living in the poorest parts of the world. The goal was to collect 50 pairs of flip flops, sandals and other light shoes for children living in orphanages and surrounding villages in Haiti. What started out as a small Bible study service project ended up turning into a church-wide project with a goal of collecting 300 pairs by Nov. 30th. So far SSEFC has collected 263 pairs and there is still over a week to go! We CAN make it to 300! TO GOD BE THE GLORY! The photo above shows just some of the Tuesday morning ladies that started the flip flop collection!

Women's Christmas Social - Bring a Friend!

Did you know you are as "Unique as a Snowflake"? Please join us Tuesday, December 9 at 7 pm in the Fellowship Hall for the Women's Christmas Social. Enjoy delicious holiday treats, a meaningful devotional and yes, a CRAFT! This event will be a wonderful opportunity to bring a friend or two so please start inviting. Registration for the craft will be at SSEFC on Sundays: Nov. 23, Nov. 30 & Dec. 7. Please bring a treat to share. See you there!
